Hi, I’m Catherine —
the founder, designer, and (usually) the person
behind the torch at Coastal Carats.
I make fine jewelry for women who want something real: solid gold, dreamy diamonds, meaningful details, and the kind of piece you end up wearing every day without even thinking about it.
Before Coastal Carats, I spent 11 years in tech (including 7 at Spotify) leading teams and building high-impact products under pressure. I’m also a Notre Dame grad, which means I’m equal parts creative and operationally obsessed. Eventually, I realized I didn’t just love building products—I loved building objects people keep close to their bodies.
Coastal Carats is inspired by Spring Lake, New Jersey—my childhood summer retreat—and that vintage beach-club energy: sun-warmed gold, old-money charm, and a little sparkle that feels like you just got back from somewhere pretty.

I’m also deeply committed to sustainability: upcycled and vintage elements where possible, minimal waste in how we build, and intentional sourcing that respects both craft and people.
Coastal Carats is rooted in custom solid gold jewelry—especially my signature floating diamonds and gemstones (laser-drilled stones that appear to “hover” on the chain). I also create personalized pieces you can build and style your way: charms, chains, and heirloom-feeling designs that still look modern.
